Why Women Generally Buy Sex Toys And Not Men?

To dildo or not to dildo. Whether its dildos, vibrators or sex toys in general, one thing is for certain. Women are much more at ease at discussing this subject than men. Up and down the country women are holding sex parties, where men are banned and where a wide selection of sex goodies can be obtained for the bedroom.
So why is it, that it is women that generally buy sex toys and not men? Some women purchase the old ” Rampant Rabbit” (That’s a rather large and amusing vibrator, for those of you who have never ventured into a sex shop or been invited to a sex party) solely for the purpose of using this in the privacy of their bedroom alone. This could be because they are currently without a partner and require satisfaction.
Some women buy vibrators and other sex aids to enhance their sex lives with their men. So if women are involving their men when purchasing sex toys why do some men still feel intimidated by these plastic vibrating giants? Size? Doing a better job? Because plastic cant say no? Never tires? Take it from me a female and user of a number of said items, you cant beat the real thing. There’s nothing like the human touch. Show me a vibrator that can wine and dine you, tell you that it loves you and fix your fence.
Men are more visual creatures on the other hand, some might say a bit shallow. They are aroused by pictures of scantly clad ladies, and videos or dvds of a pornographic nature. Why are women intimated by these images? Firm buttocks? Pert breasts? Toned bodies? Take it from my partner, who’s male. He says this is not reality. These women strutting their stuff across the screen are not natural to the everyday man, they are just a kind of sex aid/toy for men.
So it seems that both men and women enjoy sex aids of some kind, but obtain their pleasure from different sources. Many couples are happy to combine both preferences and enjoy fulfilling sex lives.
So it is really down to the individual or couple as to whether sex toys/aids are a good thing.
So to sum up… Maybe we should all be a little more tolerant to our partners needs. Ladies, shorten the plastic, and men, switch off sooner……

wrong. the only reason men dont use sex toys in droves is there is no good substitute. at least, at any kind of reasonable price.
a dildo is easy to make. its not so easy to make a self lubricating mucous membrane.
Wow. Maybe I’m simply from a younger generation where men are not intimidated by women’s sex toys, and PEOPLE IN GENERAL get aroused by scantly clad members of the opposite sex, and videos or dvds of a pornographic nature. I am a man and I am neither a “visual creature”, nor shallow.
“Why are women intimated by these images? ”
I think you meant ‘intimidated’.
Sex toys for men take more time for cleaning, especially prostate massagers.
I use to work for Ann Summers in the UK during the early 90s and as attitudes have changed more and more men are buying sex toys.
It use to be something of a taboo but thanks to the success of TV shows like sex and the city they have become more popular and more acceptable.
