My Sincere Apologies [Pic]

Over the past months I have forwarded funny pictures and jokes to friends who I thought shared the same sense of humour.

Unfortunately this wasn’t the case and I seem to have upset quite a few people who have accused me of being sexist and shallow. If you were one of these people, please accept my humblest apologies.

From now on I will only send emails with a cultural or educational content such as old monuments, nature and other interesting structures. Below you’ll see a picture of the Pont Neuf Bridge in Paris.

For those of you who are interested, Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge in Paris and took 26 years to build. Construction began in 1578 and ended in 1604. ‘Le Pont Neuf’ is actually made of 2 independent bridges, one with seven arches and the other with five arches.

    Not sexist. Attractive, yes; sexist, no (look up the meaning [pertaining to the inferiority/demeaning of one gender; bias for/against/discrimination a gender]).

    My girlfriend would get caught out like this as we went browsing through boxes of junk at yard sales. In this case the bridge gives a much nicer background than some random front yard. Note: she d dressed for _her_ motives, not anyone else’s (look up - empowerment).

    Just because it’s pretty doesn’t make it sexist.

    I think I experienced this pretty close to the best way possible …. Thinking, “…wtf, must be an inside joke , I don’t get it” as I was reading, and looking at the bridge, which was at the very bottom of the browser window.

    Then, wondering if there were comments at the end to help me figure out what the point was, I scrolled down. :o)
