My Sincere Apologies [Pic]
Over the past months I have forwarded funny pictures and jokes to friends who I thought shared the same sense of humour.
Unfortunately this wasn’t the case and I seem to have upset quite a few people who have accused me of being sexist and shallow. If you were one of these people, please accept my humblest apologies.
From now on I will only send emails with a cultural or educational content such as old monuments, nature and other interesting structures. Below you’ll see a picture of the Pont Neuf Bridge in Paris.
For those of you who are interested, Pont Neuf is the oldest bridge in Paris and took 26 years to build. Construction began in 1578 and ended in 1604. ‘Le Pont Neuf’ is actually made of 2 independent bridges, one with seven arches and the other with five arches.
Fascinating

HEY THAT’S A NICE ASS IN THAT PHOTO!
I don’t do subtleties.
I do belive the boat is a Triton 225 m/2,8 QSD MerCruiser 230hk Diesel. But i could be mistaken….
I can definitely see myself exploring between those two arches. Seems like great views from above.
Amazing – thank you for helping filter down the spam, and other junk that is normally associated with the internet. Wonderful view in that photo. Truly striking.
Tourists must pay to come over it.
Is this a draw bridge? I could swear I saw something rise in the middle while viewing. This is such a cheeky view of asstromical proportions that I could consider dwelling in the valley where the two lower tributaries meet. What an awesome structure!
nice ass !
Gross. Never understood why men like arses.
One question. Is it you? Please tell me. I must know
Do I look like a bridge? LOL
Bill, Jimi Page would be proud!!
Apologies accepted, but I should definitely visit this historical place so I hope to be in the same position, I’m talking about the bridge of couse.
Cheers.
Great! I was intrigued by the “not Paris” comment & found that there are At Least 2 Pont Neuf bridges. Your description is of the one in Paris while the image is of the one in Toulouse. But I admit that it DID take me awhile to find the bridge.
There are at least 2 Pont Neufs (New Bridges;
“Neuf” when used as a NOUN is a number (nine or 9). When describing a noun (adjective) it means new or unused.):
1) The 7+5 span Pont Neuf over the Seine in Paris
Started 1578 – finished 1607

2) The asymmetrical Pont Neuf over the Garonne River
in Toulouse (3rd span from right is longer)
Arches started 1614 – finished 1632. The unique(?)
openings through the piers were supposed to
represent the face and mane of a lion.
