i got this list in an email a few weeks ago and it didnt come from this blog. i liked the picture and i pasted it into the scrapbook of my boyfriends scraps. He hasnt said anything to me about it at all. Next thing I know, he’s linking this sex fairy and her list as an article to this blog.

I occasionally get really severe migraines. The very firsts advice my doctor gave me (by telling me and in the form of pamphlets) is that sex or masturbation when I feel one coming on can help. So, yes, #9 is true. Once a headache gets too bad, sex won’t help and you should just sleep, but if it’s not bad yet or it’s just starting, then sex definitely helps.

Having sex once or twice a week has been linked with higher levels of an antibody called immunoglobulin A or IgA, which can protect you from getting colds and other infections. Scientists at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., took samples of saliva, which contain IgA, from 112 college students who reported the frequency of sex they had.

Those in the “frequent” group — once or twice a week — had higher
levels of IgA than those in the other three groups — who reported being abstinent, having sex less than once a week, or having it very often, three or more times weekly.

England. In a study published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, scientists found frequency of sex was not associated with stroke in the 914 men they followed for 20 years.

And the heart health benefits of sex don’t end there. The researchers also found that having sex twice or more a week reduced the risk of fatal heart attack by half for the men, compared with those who had sex less than once a month.

#9 is false as well, given that sex raises the heart rate. This causes the blood vessels in your head to raise in pressure, agrivating any muscle spasms you may be experiencing in your cranium. Take a few pills, lay down and don’t take the advice of top ten lists that do not sight specific sources for their (Mis)information.

this is a great article! i agree that there are some american women who look down on asian women (like me) but still, i know a lot who are sincerely friendly. i don’t think you can generalize it because as in every culture or race, there are a lot of differences in opinion. i think its also unfair to the american women to do that. at the same time i believe it’s not right that filipinas should be known as just women who marry western men so that they can have their visa and citizenship. to some, yes, they might have done that but i believe there is more to it than just that reason. an american man might have wanted a filipina because of her giving and caring ways. and in our side, we like foreigners because they expect equality and so, we feel that we can also be given the love and care that we long for . and when we do something for them which is normal to us but is more than what they expected, it is doubly appreciated.

as for the issue regarding filipinas having to work in america or other countries, i admire them because it takes courage and strength to go to a foreign place (esp by herself) and work hard away from their families especially their children just to give their kids a better opportunities in life. can you imagine only having to see your kids once or twice a year? to have them grow up and you are not even there? it is such a big sacrifice. i think it’s even harder being in the US because when you get home from work, you are still the one who has to cook, do chores and such while in the philippines a middle-income family can have at least 1 or 2 housekeeper/s because labor is cheaper there.

it might be hard for all cultures to get along well, but i wish we could all give and receive respect.
