Meet Jet Man Rossy, The Birdman
Swiss professional pilot Yves Rossy, the world’s first man to fly with fitted jet fuel powered wings strapped to his back, flying during his first official demonstration. Rossy flew into the history books by crossing from France to Britain on only a jet powered wing, describing afterwards, how he felt like a bird over the English Channel.

Yves Rossy 49, touched down in a field on top of the white cliffs of Dover after completing the 35- kilometer journey over one of biggest shipping lanes.
He had nothing above him but four tanks of kerosene and nothing below him but the cold waters of the English Channel. But Yves Rossy leapt from a plane and into the record books on Friday, crossing the channel on a homemade jet-propelled wing.
Rossy jumped from the plane about 8,200 feet over Calais, France, blasting across the narrow body of water and deploying his parachute over the South Foreland lighthouse, delighting onlookers who dotted Dover’s famous white cliffs, cheering and waving as Rossy came into view.
Backed by a gentle breeze, Rossy crossed the Channel in 13 minutes, averaging 125 miles per hour. In a final flourish, he did a figure eight as he came over England, although the wind blew him away from his planned landing spot next to the lighthouse.
“It was perfect. Blue sky, sunny, no clouds, perfect conditions,” the Swiss pilot said after touching down in an adjacent field. He said he wanted to show, “it is possible to fly, a little bit, like a bird.”

5 Superfoods That Can Prevent Breast Cancer
As has been discussed in other breast cancer prevention articles, one of the main ways to prevent breast cancer is to eat a healthy diet which is rich in vegetables, fiber and low in fat. However, there has been little mention as to what foods can be eaten that will specifically aid in breast cancer prevention.
The following are top five foods. This are not listed in any order of importance so feel free to mix and match as it relates to your specific needs and diet.
The first food is tomatoes. Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and unsalted help in preventing breast as well as prostate cancer in men. There are also good for helping prevent cardiovascular disease. “The redder, the better” as my Mom used to say.
Next there is nuts. These include peanuts as well as almond fruit. The main benefit can be seen in an increase of good cholesterol while lowering the bad cholesterol. As someone who has this particular problem, this is a good thing. However, you must be careful not to overdo it as you will gain weight.
Another good food is oats. Oats aid in lowering cholesterol and are full of fiber, which helps in digestion as well. A recommended intake is 35 grams.
One of the absolute best foods to eat, not just for breast cancer prevention but for general vitality is garlic. Garlic is rich in antioxidants, and can help prevent other forms of cancer as well. Garlic is one of the best choices one can make when designing a healthy diet.

10 Ways To Get Rid Of Your Roommate
Whether your roommate is driving you crazy or you have a best friend who wants to move in, these tips can help give you ideas on how to eliminate that unwanted housemate.
Disclaimer: don’t take the suggestions in this article seriously. The suggestions here are all for entertainment purposes only.
1. Mess with their head
This one’s usually the most fun to implement; you can let your creativity go wild. Let your roommate come back to your apartment and “catch” you watching midget porn. Even better, have a friend well-versed at video-editing software edit you into the midget porn movie. Leave issues of some questionable magazines out in the open. Get caught rolling around in your roommate’s bed wearing women’s underwear (if you’re a guy). The world is really your oyster on this one.
2. Scare them
Another classic. Let him see you reading books, reading articles, and watching movies about how to get away with murder. Buy some knives and start stabbing some of the people in your roommate’s photographs. Draw bulls-eyes around his/her friends and write dates next to them.
3. Attack their fears
This requires some actual getting-to-know your roommate. Hopefully at this point in the co-living relationship, you have some idea of their main phobias. Are they afraid of animals? Why not surprise them on Halloween and throw 100 rabid squirrels on their bed?

Can You Sneeze With Your Eyes Open?
First of all lets take a look at why we sneeze. Sneezing is a way that your body gets rid of bad things that are in your nose. These things might be bacteria, germs, and other things. You also sneeze when you smell pepper because your body does not like pepper! When you suddenly you see a bright light like the sun or a light bulb then you feel like you are going to sneeze. Most people feel like you do when you see the light.
It is believed that some people can sneeze with their eyes open and some people can’t. Sneezing is a reflex and so is closing our eyes. We have no control over whether or not we close our eyes when we sneeze. Some people don’t have reflex, so when they sneeze then their eyes won’t close.
No one knows the reason you close your eyes when you sneeze. There are many possibilities. Some people think it is to protect your eyes from flying goop. Most doctors think that it is still a reflex, or we just can’t help it.
But it could also be simply because a sneeze is a kind of bodywide reflex in which a lot of muscles contract, not just in the nose and throat but also those in the diaphragm, the abdomen, thighs, back, even sphincters (which is why some people with stress incontinence may urinate slightly when they sneeze).
Because sneezing is a common phenomenon and rarely harmful, little research has been conducted to demystify the sneezing experience. However, observational evidence, anecdotes, and a few studies provide insight into some common beliefs about sneezing.
Some people used to believe that your heart takes a break during a sneeze, this is actually not the case. When you first inhale before sneezing, the pressure in your chest increases. Then, as you exhale forcefully during the sneeze the pressure drops. Alterations in blood flow to your heart produced by these pressure changes, can affect the heart rate. However, the electrical activity in the heart marches on unimpeded–you remain very much alive throughout your sneeze!

Why Do People Yell Into Their Cell Phones
Pretty much everyone owns a cell phone these days, and with the great advantages of cell phones also comes responsibility. There is certainly proper and improper cell phone etiquette, and unfortunately, improper cell phone etiquette is still rampant amongst the general population.
One prime example of bad cell phone etiquette is people yelling into their cell phones. Have you ever noticed how people talk much louder into the cell phone than a regular phone? It’s very common, and can be extremely annoying for all those nearby. A lot of people will excuse themselves into another room when taking a call, but there are some times when you can’t leave. For example, when you’re riding in a car with someone, you might need to take a call, and there’s no “other room” you can go into. It is times like these when cell phone etiquette is of the utmost importance.
So why do people with normal speaking volumes yell into their cell phones? It’s a pretty simple explanation, actually. Household telephones, or landlines, have a microphone in the receiver that amplifies your voice into the ear piece. When you talk into a landline, your voice is captured and replayed through the ear piece, so you hear your own voice loud and clear. It’s very similar to how a radio DJ wears headphones, then speaks into a microphone and hears his own voice in the headphones. With cell phones, your own voice is not amplified into the earpiece, so the only sound you hear is from your mouth. Seem like this wouldn’t be a huge difference, but the volume level of words coming from your mouth through the air and into your ear is a pretty big difference from sounds coming from a phone speaker that’s pressed directly against your ear.
